Audrey Schubert of Poplarville, MS, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Poplarville, MS.
She was born to Alvin and Beatrice Kietzer on November 16, 1933. After graduating Wautoma High School she married Frank Schubert on May 16, 1953. They have two children Scott Schubert (Geralyn), Wautoma and Amy Freese (Steven), Greenback, TN. Four grandchildren Matthew Schubert, Wautoma, WI, Rebecca Schultz (John) Mt. Vernon, IA, Christopher Ross, Jr. (Heaven) and Marissa Ross, Milwaukee, WI.
Frank and Audrey owned with their son and daughter Coast to Coast / Do It Best Hardware Store in Wautoma for 43 years, 1961-2004.
They enjoyed 15 years of spending winters on their sailboat "Grace" sailing the Bahamas. In 1995 they became land lovers in Stuart, FL while still taking short cruises on "Grace". In 2005 they moved to Poplarville, MS, a small town similar to Wautoma and enjoy many friends.
Audrey was a member of Rural Rembrandts and was a very talented artist. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Audrey had adventurous spirit, no task was too big to handle. She was our rock and always strong to help her family and friends.
The family is planning a celebration of Audrey's life later this summer in Wautoma. | |
